abstract = "The reorganization of the photospheric magnetic field may be
important for flaring activity. In this work we use the time
evolution of the magnetic power spectra to identify for which
length scales the reorganization of the active region magnetic
field is most closely related to energetic flares. Our results
show that the reorganization occurs mainly for length scales
larger than 12.6 Mm and may start much before the time of the
flare, but the time evolution of magnetic power spectra does not
show regular patterns. An analysis of the dissipation spectra
suggests that the dissipation takes place at all spatial scales,
including small wavenumbers in which more energy is available.",
